Our History
David Kennedy always knew he wanted to work serving underserved and neglected portions of our population. At a young age he realized that he specifically wanted to work with older adults because his reverence for this population and also the fascinating, rich life experiences that are unique to each individual.David did not know how he could positively impact the lives of our community’s elders until he finished his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan at the age of 20. He was introduced to the home health care field through several friends at the State of Michigan’s Office of Services to the Aging and other home health agency owners. David founded Kennedy Care in 2003 and managed Kennedy Care while working on two masters degrees from the University of Michigan. Today Kennedy Care no longer just serves the Ann Arbor community but most of the State of Michigan and now has expanded its service area to include multiple states as well.
Kennedy Care is no longer just an extension of just David’s desire to love and serve others, but it is the collective effort of hundreds of caring individuals whose desire is to better the lives of everyone we engage both through our work and in our personal lives.
