Get To Know Kylie
How long have you been with Patriot Care?
I started working with Patriot Care in October of last year. So ALMOST one year.
Why did you choose to join Patriot Care?
I chose Patriot Care because my husband served as an Active Duty Marine for 14 years and I just have an unexplainable, special place in my heart for our Veterans.
What is your proudest moment from your time with Patriot Care?
I don’t think I have a defining moment, because I leave my clients’ home after every shift feeling proud of the way we are able to take care of our Veterans.
What is your favorite part of being a caregiver for Veterans?
My favorite part of being a LCP is the relationships I have with my clients. We laugh and smile and I know that I’m making a difference in their day, and simultaneously, they’re making a difference in mine!!
What is your advice for other caregivers?
My advice: I know that what we do can be hard and difficult at times, maybe even a little stressful, but remind yourself to ENJOY every moment with your clients, because they will show you and teach you the humbleness that comes along the way.
What is a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me – one of my first jobs ever was working as a Cast Member at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA!! So much fun!!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my little family and going out on family adventures (hiking, four-wheeling, boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, etc).
