Let’s Get Connected!
Each month we talk with one of our amazing Life Care Professionals.
This month…let’s meet Sherri Spurgeon!
Sherri, how long have you worked at Kennedy Care and what do you love about working at Kennedy Care?
“My first day of work at Kennedy Care was on 10/22/2020. I love that you can easily advance to other things in this company and I also love meeting new people and having different clients with different cultural backgrounds.”
Sherri, what do you love about being a Life Care Professional?
“I love helping people in general and that is why I chose this field to work in as a Life Care Professional. I have been in this field all of my life so it comes naturally to me to be in the healthcare field.”
Sherri, outside of work, are you involved with any special projects/hobbies?
“Outside of work I have cooking projects where I make food on the side and sell it as meals for people in my community. My hobbies include cooking and going to the local bingo hall on Wednesdays and playing bingo and meeting new people. This is my way to enjoy and relax after a long workday with my clients.”

National Home Care and Hospice Month
November is National Home Care & Hospice Month! During this month, we would like to honor all of our Life Care Professionals for their dedication to the healthcare field. During all situations, including this pandemic and our “new normal”, you have not ceased providing care for some of our most vulnerable populations.
Your job is not always easy, but you show up to work with a smile on your face every day despite the various challenges that you’re facing – this is something that deserves an incredible amount of recognition.
On behalf of Kennedy Care and all of its employees, we would like to extend our greatest thanks to all Life Care Professionals not only for this month but for every month of the year. We could not do our jobs without you!

Kennedy Care Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Together, Kennedy Care and Michigan Roundtable have developed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion survey for our employees, which we will then use to design instructional cultural competency and learning sessions for both our administrative staff and Life Care Professionals.
The assessment will ensure that your voices are heard and will aid in the development of life-long foundational skills that enable us to understand the diverse world around us through open communication, increased self-awareness, and mindfulness of our own as well as others’ behavior.
Stay tuned for details on the survey and thank you in advance for your participation!
Happy Birthday!
We hope you all have an amazing day with your friends and family.
