Team Updates

Lisa Warren
Catastrophic and Complete Care Program Director
Lisa has been a Registered Nurse for 11 years, having earned her bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University. She has been with Kennedy Care as a Contingent Nurse since 2019 and has spent the last 9 years in nursing leadership roles! In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her three children and their dog. She enjoys traveling and doing outdoor activities such as boating, camping and golfing. Lisa is very excited to be part of Kennedy Care!

Sandra Schocklin
Share the Care Care Coordinator
Sandra has worked in healthcare for 15 years, spending that time working in hospitals, direct homecare, after hours on-call and on the road as a EMT. She has further experience as a phlebotomy specialist and has worked in a “Patient First” environment for a long time, treating her patients as family. When not at work, Sandra enjoys listening to music and gaming (particularly MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft) and finds great joy in reading and helping others!

Katie Morrison
Administrative Assistant
Katie graduated with her associates in business from Washtenaw Community College and is excited to further her career with Kennedy Care! She can be a workaholic, but enjoys spending her free time with her cat Milo or going to music festivals. Katie recently moved to Michigan from California and is working on getting adjusted to the seasons here, and is looking forward to meeting more of our team members both in the office and in the field!

Welcome to the KC Family!

Life Care Professionals of the Month are chosen by their respective teams and each brings amazing caregiving, compassion, and love to our clients and families. Thank you for going the extra mile with your care!

Patriot Care is excited to announce that they have received their first case in the Upper Peninsula!

The client, located in Iron Mountain, is hopefully the first of many UP cases we hope to receive as Patriot Care continues to expand.

Kennedy Care Academy is moving to a new home!

As of Friday, October 22nd, Kennedy Care employees will no longer have access to Learn Upon. From that date on, everyone will have access to trainings in Paylocity. You can view all assigned trainings to you by selecting the “Learning” tab in your app or browser.

Employees will still have access to Learn Upon until October 22nd. If you wish to login and complete any uncompleted training, please do so – remember, you get paid for completing your training!

Kennedy Care Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

October is Long-Term Care Planning Month! This month encourages both seniors and those who care for them to develop a plan for long-term care later in life. Long-term care planning also includes non-medical care, such as personal care services (much like the ones we provide here at Kennedy Care!).

Nearly 40% of people underestimate future costs for long-term care, leading families to be worried about how to manage their financial resources for care later in life. Please review the following links to educate yourself and begin developing a plan – it’s never too early!
