Kennedy Care Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Suicidal thoughts, like many other mental health issues, can affect anyone – regardless of age, gender or background. Suicide Prevention Awareness Month gives us a time to raise awareness on the stigma, and taboo, topic of suicide and mental health.
This year, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will highlight “Together for Mental Health”. This strongly encourages people and our society to bring voices together to advocate for better mental health and to lessen the stigma surrounding these topics.
Please review the following links to see some informational resources about suicide and other mental health crises. #Together4MH
If you are in crisis or experiencing difficult and / or suicidal thoughts, please call the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
