Get to Know Rowan
How long have you been part of the Kennedy Care family?
9 months.
Why did you choose to join Kennedy Care?
My sister in laws and my fiancé worked here and they would always come home and tell me how much they loved the families and the kids. I adore children and saw it as a great fit and it worked out for me 🙂
What is your favorite part of your job?
Seeing how happy my kid gets when I walk in the door every day!
What is your proudest moment from your time at Kennedy Care?
I got sent to a difficult shift – the entire time I was doubting my work and help. I ended up leaving super upset, thinking, “I did the absolute best I could and I don’t think it was good enough.” The parents called me later and thanked me for giving great service and mentioned how the kids just went on and on at dinner about how much they loved hanging out with me. It definitely made me change my whole perspective on my care and how much I really do put into each and every kid I encounter.
What is a surprising or fun fact about you?
I want a huge family – no less than 8 kids!
What are your hobbies?
I like to paint, look at the stars, cook, and hike!
What’s your favorite season of the year and why?
Spring! I enjoy watching the thunderstorms and the warm weather!!
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
Easter, who doesn’t like to wake up in the morning and go on a scavenger hunt for candy?!?
