Today, March 23, 2020, Gov. Whitmer signed the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order effective at 12:01am on March 24, 2020.
As indicated in the order, Michiganders have been directed to stay in their homes, leaving only under very limited circumstances and adhering to social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when doing so.
Kennedy Care and Safe at Home have been planning in preparation for such directives and are confident in the strategies our team has developed to continue operations throughout this time. No news to us, the care we provide is considered critical and necessary, allowing our teams to continue serving our clients.
Please be advised that unless otherwise notified, this order will have no impact on services provided by any member of the Kennedy Care family.
In compliance with the Executive Order 2020-21, only the following changes have been made to Kennedy Care operations:
Safe at Home will only accept requests to serve the children of critical infrastructure workers as defined in the order.
Kennedy Care administrative staff will be required to conduct work remotely.
